Duca Credit Union: Making Space for a Growing Team

At Source, we understand that when a business grows, so does its team, and that means creating an office that can comfortably accommodate all the hard-working employees. We know it’s not enough to simply provide a surface to work on; everyone needs a workspace they can call their own.

Duca Credit Union decided it was time to make this happen for their growing team. What started out as a single-branch operation in Toronto quickly grew into 17 branches across Southern Ontario. Today, Duca continues to serve the Southern Ontario community by giving members the tools they need to achieve their financial goals with services like loans, asset protection, investment strategies, and more. Recognizing the importance of their mission, we were thrilled to help the team at Duca Credit Union create a better office where their great work can continue to thrive.

Tailoring the Perfect Office

When kicking off our collaboration with Duca, we made it a priority to delve deep into their office needs. We sat down together to hash out their must-haves, identify pain points in their current setup, and discuss any additional requests regarding office furniture. We also took into account any constraints, be it time, space, or budget-related, that we needed to navigate.

With these important conversations in mind, we set out to craft a floor plan that would make the most of Duca's office space. After all, fitting 200+ workstations into one office is no easy feat. So we guided the Duca team through key considerations during the office layout and furniture selection phase, ensuring the final space was tailored precisely to their needs.

Making the Switch to Tayco

It's this dedication that instills confidence in us, knowing their products are instrumental in creating offices that foster productivity – making them an ideal fit for Duca's workspace.

We were even more confident that Tayco’s Switch collection would serve as the perfect panel system. With a sleek, 2-inch profile, Switch is awesome for creating cubicles that accommodate your entire team, while providing them with the privacy they need throughout the workday. Available in various sizes and heights, this panel collection adds the perfect amount of privacy without making the space feel closed off. We topped each panel with frosted glass to maximize privacy while allowing the flow of natural light. The data and power capabilities of the Switch collection also make it easy to stay charged and connected. Lastly, it’s available in a wide range of finishes and materials that match and style or business.

Inside each cubicle, we made ergonomics a priority with height-adjustable tables that allow Duca’s team to sit or stand while they work. These standing desks are equipped with desk-top power modules for quick and accesible charging. Maximizing ergonomics even further, we installed monitor arms at each workstation. We also partnered each desk with a storage towers or mobile pedestals making each workstation functional, while giving team members space for their personal belongings.
